I thought you would like to see a tiny corner of a bookshelf.

Two today!

This photo was taken early this morning and I loved the reflection of the yacht in the water below it.

I couldn't resist including this evenings photo when the sky was extraordinarily beautiful

The Rows

I had a new little Pentax Optio for my birthday, it is easier to carry in my pocket than the FZ18. This is the photo I took of one of the beautiful building in Chester this morning.
I also thought I had better make it clear that the Old snail post yesterday was a joke. I have a friend who loves ammonites and her young grandchildren thought she had an old snail on display at her house. I always remember this when I see an Ammonite. I love them and buy one when I can afford it. I just love to hold it in my hands and think about that creature being alive on this earth millions of years ago and here am I able to hold it in my hands today.
That one in the photo is a particulrly large specimen.

Opening Daffodils

It's a wonder these poor daffodils survived. They were bought in M&S and DH was carrying the shopping bag and forgot there was a bunch of flowers in it and I thought they'd had it, but luckily they are survivors.

A Present from Llandudno

You might just be able to read the word Llandudno on this shoe. No wonder it has worn off after so many dustings by 3 generations of women. I'm afraid it's had less dusting by this owner than when my mother and grandmother had it.

An unlikely mix

We have a small border just below the window and I noticed this heather and it looks like a type of crocus growing together.

A likely pair

These two were holding up the opposite sides of a large building in Chester and I thought they would like to be together for a while, so I took the liberty of joining them. It's many years since they were this close I'm sure.

Island in the sun

That is the Isle of Anglesey you can see there in the sun, here in Conwy on the mainland it was wintry and damp. I forgot to mention that you can almost see the little school where I started teaching, it's just about there under the Llanddona TV mast.

Sandpipers?

I'm very wary about naming trees, flowers and birds, birds in particular. I once thought I'd seen a black swan, but someone wrote very nicely and told me he could tell I wasn't a bird watcher. The swan was a goose.

Warmer days

I thought I'd remind myself of warmer weather. A friend left for Tenerife this morning. I don't particularly want to go there just now but would enjoy some of their weather.
